Or “Why I learned to knit.”
One of the sites that was brought to my attention was the site Ravelry.com. I submitted my request to join and waited on the edge of the seat for my invitation to arrive. It came a few days later, and I was excited to check the whole site out. It has everything you could ever want on it. It gives you a notebook to record all of your projects that you’re working on, as well as to keep track of your needles and yarn stash. It has forums for everything under the sun having to do with yarn…how-tos, trades and sales, fans of this equipment or that yarn brand, even non-yarn forums where yarn people can come together and have other things in common too. Oh, and did I mention the patterns? I could positively get lost for days in the pattern section, just picking the ones I’d like to do next. There are thousands upon thousands of patterns available, for both crocheting and knitting, to be searched, browsed, and/or added to your project queue. Many of them are even free! My list is a mile long already. If you haven’t seen it yet or just have yet to check it out, get on that, straight away! I highly recommend it! Just be prepared to spend a sizable chunk of time to check all the features out.
