I simply love how the alpaca yarn turned out:

I also got the EBtKS finished:

I love it! I’m going to be making a hat out of it… but have to wait to get the right type of needles. I tried it on some circular needles that were a bit too long, and the size was too small… it did not work out at all! It’s OK, I have something like 7 WIPs going right now anyway, I need to finish one of those first!

Also have had some more dye fun. I had my first couple ounces of merino top (so soft and squishy!), and my first set of acid dyes. Here I used Nile Green, Jade Green and Bronze Green:

Sprout Dye Pot

It came out quite lovely, and Rachel-Marie came up with a lovely name for it: Sprout

Sprout

At first I thought it looked like another bit of yarn that I had just spun up :

Sprout vs. Green Eyed Monster

That’s Green Eyed Monster by The Good Sheep. I have Sprout spun up now (need to take pictures yet) and though the two are quite similar, I think that they’re not quite close enough to use in the same sweater. It’s a shame, really. It’s OK though! I’m hoping that I can dye again and match the sprout colors. We’ll see!

TTFN!
