I knew there was a need for a consistency before. It’s even more obvious to me now. Every night it’s the same thing: How do I spend my time? Do I knit? Spin? Card? Dye? All of the above? I need to create an evening schedule for myself, so that I can get time in for everything that I want to do! I keep on going in cycles of spinning or knitting or whatever, and it’s been productive… but only in one area. And then comes the inevitable guilt for neglecting all the other areas.
So, what will a nightly schedule look like? Something like this, I think:
10 am – 10:20 am – Knitting
12:01 pm – 1 pm Knitting
5 pm – 6 pm Household care & dinner prep
6 pm – 6:30 pm Retrieve little ones
6:30 pm Dinner
7 pm – 7:30 pm Playtime
7:30 pm Kiddo bed time
7:45 pm – 8 pm Dye pots started
8 pm – 9:30 pm Knitting
9:30 pm – 10:15 pm Fiber prep
10:15 pm – 11:45 pm Spinning
11:45 pm Wind down, prep for tomorrow, go to bed
Perhaps it would be better to do it just 3-4x a week, so I could get blogging and other chores done too? I will try implementing variations of this schedule over the next couple weeks and see what happens… maybe I can get a good groove going – I’ll come back and update with any adjustments I need to make!
What kind of crafting schedule do you have for yourself? Do you hold yourself to it very strictly?
TTFN!

now that is an intense schedule!! good luck. i find i’m more productive when i let one thing take priority until i get a certain amount done (i.e. for a craft fair spinning) and then i take a break from focusing on that and focus on designing… that said, i never really stop doing any of these things
and i try not to do too much of any of them in one day – except dyeing.
